Pyramids Point dive site description

Pyramids is one of Amed Jepun Divers' favorite dive sites for a reason. Just off the beach, concrete pyramids have been carefully placed to form an artificial reef, now flourishing with marine life after more than 15 years underwater.

The dive site is a mosaic of life and color, with often mild currents turning it into a drift dive.

You’ll start your dive on sandy slopes dotted with garden eels, stingrays, and snake eels, before drifting gently past coral-encrusted pyramids that serve as vibrant cleaning stations.

Further to the right, you will find our "Secret Wall". Pyramids reef transforms into a striking wall starting at 26 meters depth, where on lucky days large pelagics such as sharks or rays can be spotted!

Common sighting in Pyramids Point

Pyramids dive site is rich in marine life. Expect to see hawksbill sea turtles gliding by, large groups of fusiliers swirling above the reef, and reef fish such as sweetlips, angel fish, and clownfish darting between the corals. Moray eels poke out from the pyramid crevices, while the sandy areas reveal flounders, stingrays, and the occasional leaf scorpionfish.

Macro enthusiasts can spot pigmy seahorses clinging to sea fan corals or nudibranchs decorating the slopes. And for big animal lovers, we already have been surprised by whale sharks, mola mola or  blacktip reef shark cruising the open blue around the "Secret Wall".

This is a site where beginners and photographers alike find magic, frame by frame.
