Ghost Bay dive site description
Located nearby Amed Harbour, Ghost Bay is Amed’s premier muck dive, a sandy, seemingly featureless expanse that turns magical for those with an eye for detail.
Dive slowly across the slope and explore artificial reef structures, ropes, and even discarded debris that now house some of Bali’s most prized critters.
With minimal current and easy shore access, it’s ideal for beginners, photographers, and anyone wanting a relaxed, focused dive.
Experienced divers can explore the Marina Srikandi fast boat wreck around 25 meters depth, where big schools of five lined snapper surround the sunken boat.
Ghost Bay is especially enchanting at dusk or night, when nocturnal creatures come alive.
Common sighting in Ghost Bay
Ghost Bay lives up to its name by revealing ghost pipefish, scorpion fish, stonefish, and the odd clown frogfish lurking in plain sight.
Boxer shrimp hide in bottle necks, razorfish hover above the sand, and lionfish hunt under manmade shelters.
Nudibranchs are abundant, and the site is a great place to spot rare macro species like coconut octopus, starry night octopus, ghost pipefish and Nudibranch.
Every dive here is different, but always full of weird and wonderful surprises, perfect for macro photographers and curious explorers alike.
