Scuba Diver Certification Curriculum and Schedule

Your Scuba Diver certification is valid for life and recognized worldwide. It qualifies you to dive up to 12 meters under the supervision of an SSI professional, and you can upgrade to Open Water anytime.

The course usually runs over 1.5 to 2 days and includes two open water dives, confined water training, and academic sessions.

01. Diving Theory

Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including pressure, buoyancy, and safety procedures.

Through engaging digital lessons and instructor-led discussions, you’ll understand how to dive safely and make the most of your time underwater. All theory is accessible via the SSI app, so you can even start learning before you arrive.

02. Pool Training & Confined Water

In our confined water sessions, you’ll practice essential scuba skills in a calm, controlled environment. This includes mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures.

These confined water sessions build comfort and prepare you for your open water dives.

03. Open Water Dives

Apply your skills in real dive conditions during two open water dives at our local sites in Amed and Tulamben.

We tailor the dive site to your comfort and progress, with the final dive often at the iconic USAT Liberty wreck. Expect colorful reefs, tropical fish, and a real sense of underwater adventure.

04. Lunch and Debriefing

Each dive day ends with more than just a towel and a smile, we gather for a Balinese meal and a relaxed dive debrief.

It’s your chance to revisit the highlights, learn about the marine life you encountered, and log your progress with your instructor’s guidance.

It’s not just refueling, it’s part of your diving journey.
